UCC/Teagasc Postgraduate Certificate in Dairy Technology and Innovation open for registration


The Level 9 Postgraduate Certificate in Dairy Technology and Innovation, a University College Cork and Teagasc collaboration, is open for registration for the 2021/2022 academic year. This Postgraduate Certificate is targeted at those working or hoping to work in the food, agri-food or dairy sector

This Postgraduate Certificate is targeted at those working or hoping to work in the food, agri-food or dairy sectors who wish to develop or increase their knowledge in relation to dairy. 

Course delivery details

The programme is delivered by leading international dairy researchers from a multi-disciplinary team in UCC and Teagasc Moorepark. The programme runs from September-December and January-March in a part-time, blended learning format, delivered online and by block release to suit the seasonal nature of the dairy industry. Face-to-face lectures occur over five consecutive days in October and three consecutive days in February.

Course Modules

Students take modules to the value of 30 credits as follows:

  • Milk production and quality
  • Dairy chemistry
  • Trends and dynamics across dairy markets
  • Dairy processing technology
  • Dairy microbiology
  • Business processes across the supply chain

Course Cost

This 1 year Part-Time Postgraduate Certificate costs €5,170.
