Signpost Photo Competition
We are inviting you to submit photos, capturing the actions that you are taking to reduce emissions on your farms.
About the Competition
The Signpost Programme is running this photo competition in advance of Signpost Sustainability Week which takes place on the 14th to the 21st of October.
The photo competition will run across 12 months with 4 phases to it – Autumn climate actions, Winter climate actions, Spring climate actions, Summer climate actions.
We are inviting you to submit images of the climate actions that farmers across the country are taking to help reduce emissions on their farm.
Each phase will have its own winner and the winner of Phase 1 (Autumn Climate Actions) will be announced on Thursday, 20 October during Signpost Sustainability Week.
Below is a list of just some of the climate actions that we want farmers to take this Autumn to help reduce emissions on their farm:
- Liming
- Applying P&K to tillage crops
- Dosing and vaccinating
- Weighing animals
- Milk recording
- Extending the grazing season
- Checking your Bord Bia farmer feedback report
- Checking NMP for lime or K needed
- Soil sampling
- Closing paddocks
