Nationwide Farm Business Options Training Programme launched
Teagasc officially launched its 2024 Farm Business Options training programme at the National Ploughing Championships 2024 in Ratheniska, Co. Laois. This nationwide initiative aims to empower farmers and farm family members to diversify their enterprises and explore new business opportunities.
The programme is organised by Teagasc Farm Business Options Coordinators and delivered in collaboration with Local Enterprise Offices, ensuring impactful local training during the autumn period.
The Farm Business Options programme helps individuals, particularly farmers, turn their ideas into viable business ventures. It offers guidance on developing business plans, connects participants with mentors, and introduces them to agencies that can provide tangible support.
The training programme is ideal for farmers, or farm family members, interested in improving farm income, or exploring new business opportunities, including renewable energy, artisan food production, organic farming, rural tourism and many other business ideas.
The workshops feature guest farmers who have successfully diversified their enterprises, along with Teagasc and industry specialists available for questions. The programme includes excellent networking opportunities.
Workshops are free, but prior registration is required. For more information, and to express your interest in attending, contact your local Teagasc office, or visit the Options Programme webpage here.
