13th INFOGEST Webinar on Food Digestion
The first INFOGEST webinar of 2022 will take place on Wednesday 2nd February at 2PM. This monthly series, hosted by Teagasc’s André Brodkorb, focuses on the latest research in food digestion from the international INFOGEST network of scientists from academia and industry.

February’s webinar features Dr Kieran Tuohy from the University of Leeds who will present his research on "Can food shape the intestinal environment to reduce metabolic disease risk: diet-microbiota-bile acid nexus". The webinar will be moderated by Dr Susan Joyce from APC Microbiome Ireland and the School of Biochemistry and Cell Biology at University College Cork.
INFOGEST is an international network with the aim of Sharing Information on the Digestion of Food. INFOGEST was created under a cost Action [FA1005] and has evolved into an open network of scientists from both academia and industry from over 45 countries. The aim of the network is to improve the current scientific knowledge on how food is disintegrated during oral, gastric and intestinal digestion.
The Infogest Webinar Series on Food Digestion began in September 2020 and is held on the first Wednesday of each month. Each month, speakers from academia and industry present their latest research on the topic of food digestion. The series will continue in the lead up to the next International Conference on Food Digestion 3-5 May 2022 in Cork, Ireland.
