Teagasc will host a webinar entitled ‘Taste of Innovation: Unlocking Artisanal Potential on the Farm,’ on Thursday, 21 March from 10am to 11am.
Dr. Deirdre Kennedy from the Artisan and Small Food Sector based at Teagasc Food Research Centre, Moorepark, will explore the exciting world of artisanal food production, highlighting how food producers can add value to what they are doing.
The webinar is hosted by Barry Caslin, Energy and Rural Development Specialist in Teagasc, and is part of a spring series of webinars highlighting diversification opportunities. Barry Caslin said: “Discover how farmers can leverage Teagasc supports, technology, and collaboration, to add value to their operations. Speaking in advance of the webinar, Dr. Deirdre Kennedy said: “The webinar will focus on how primary producers can get started on their artisan food production and farm diversification journey. I will discuss what supports are available from Teagasc such as technical expertise, production facilities and training courses. I will also touch on how to leverage financial support and what legal requirements need to be met in order to pursue your new venture.”
