The Farm to Fork Strategy in the EU Green Deal aims to lower fertilizer N use. Legumes can replace fertilizer N on grassland and arable farms, lowering greenhouse gas and ammonia emissions and improving water quality.

The third Legume Innovation and Networking Workshop will take place online on Wednesday 3rd March 2021 as an interactive webinar with the title: EU Green Deal aims to lower mineral fertilizer N use: The essential role of legumes.

The Legumes Innovation Network seeks to identify transition paths enabling home-grown legumes in more sustainable food- and feed-value chains. This webinar will examine prospects for greater legume use in agriculture and obstacles to adoption on farms.
