Pumpkin Production Webinar

This Pumpkin Production Webinar, hosted by the Horticulture Development Department took place on Tuesday, 1st March. Eoin Sweetman & Andy Whelton were joined by internationally recognised ADAS Horticultural Consultant Chris Creed, who gave a presentation on the principles of pumpkin production.

This webinar was the fifth webinar of the Teagasc Winter/Spring 2021/2022 Vegetable Webinar Series.

Chris covered a wide range of topics such as: pumpkins as a crop; variety choices; sowing dates and target density; soil preparation and feeding; drilling or planting; weed and disease control; pollination; marketing; pumpkin storage; and more.
