New Teagasc ConnectEdProgramme Manager Appointed

Teagasc ConnectEd
Teagasc ConnectEd has been designed to provide businesses and professionals working with the agri-food sector structured access to Teagasc research, education, knowledge resources and online tools. It is a novel programme that delivers training, events and online tools to the wider agri-food sector.
About Sheila Quinn
As manager Sheila Quinn will be responsible for co-design of Teagasc industry training programmes and networking events.
She will lead the expansion of eLearning programmes within the Teagasc Knowledge Transfer Outreach and Innovation Department. The role will also include significant stakeholder engagement across the agri-food ecosystem.
Sheila Quinn has over 20 years’ experience managing the delivery of national training programmes. In previous roles, she worked in rural development and led the Teagasc staff-training programme.
Announcing the appointment, Mark Gibson, Head of the Teagasc KT Outreach and Innovation Department said; “This is an important appointment for Teagasc as we continue to expand our education and online services to the wider agricultural sector. Sheila brings a wealth of experience to the role, having led the Teagasc staff-training programme and delivering rural development programmes”.
Teagasc Director of Knowledge Transfer, Stan Lalor, commented on the importance of the Teagasc ConnectEd platform in continuing to develop the training and support services by Teagasc to agricultural professionals and other stakeholders. It is a pivotal platform through which Teagasc serve the Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation System (AKIS) in Ireland. He also highlighted and welcomed the wealth of experience and skills that Sheila will bring to the role.
