Planning to build?

Farmers and farm building contractors are invited to attend one of a series of Farm Buildings Seminars this April.
Organised by Teagasc and the Irish Farm Buildings Association, the seminars aim to increase awareness of the key changes to building specifications under the Targeted Agricultural Modernisation Scheme (TAMS) and to enhance safety in farm building construction.
With seminars planned for Kilkenny, Cork, Offaly, Meath and Cavan, topics such as building specifications, responsibilities of the farmer in relation to safety for a building project, and improvements in the standard of farm buildings will be detailed.
Featuring expert speakers, each seminar will also provide attendees with key information to better manage their farm building projects. Participants will also receive valuable insights into their responsibilities regarding the appointment of project supervisors, as well as guidelines for ensuring the overall safety of construction projects.
