Science Week 2021 - Trails and Tales
On Sunday 7th November at 8 am join Teagasc Forestry Advisor, Michael Somers, for an interesting walk in the forest. Find out about the wonders of the woodlands & benefits of forestry in our lives. It's an early start to Science Week but you get to enjoy the perks! Check out free registration here.
Event Time 8am on Sunday 7th November
Venue Castlemorris Woods, Croan, Kilkenny
Michael will take us on a looped walk of the forest, explaining all about the benefits of forestry on the way - from carbon sequestration to biodiversity. Not to mention the benefits to our wellbeing.
Teas and coffees and snacks will be provided.
Please note: This is an outdoor event so please check the weather and dress suitably. Trekking shoes, rain gear and drinks of water are advised.
Difficulty level: The difficulty level is easy.
Start time: 8am - We will meet early in the morning to enjoy another perk of the woodlands - the dawn chorus.
Please note that places are limited and early booking is essential.
These events are free but must be pre-booked. Registrations must be made by an adult and all children must be accompanied by an adult at events.
