Virtual International Conference on Food Digestion #VICFD2021
Teagasc’s Dr André Brodkorb and Dr Linda Giblin and the INFOGEST research network will host the Virtual International Conference on Food Digestion on the 6th - 7th of May 2021. The event will take place on 6 May, 12pm- 6pm (Dublin) and 7 May, 7.30am - 2pm (Dublin) covering 6 themes on food digestion
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the physical International Conference on Food Digestion in Cork was postponed to May 2022 (https://www.icfd2022.com/).
This May 2021 virtual event is being held in order to mark the occasion and to give researchers, especially PhD students, an opportunity to present their results on an international stage.
The conference will cover six themes relating to food digestion:
- In vitro digestion models
- Food interaction and meal digestion
- Absorption models
- Lipid digestion
- Starch digestion
- In silico models
The 7th session will be a live session from Australia and New Zealand on the morning of Day 2. A special session of flash presentations, hosted by post-doctoral researchers from Teagasc, will be held on the 6th May, from 6pm-8pm (Dublin).
