Empowering female SFSC producers in Ireland and Europe
1 February 2023 1 February 2023Venue Online
Short Food Supply Chains (SFSCs) offer social, economic and environmental benefits and play an important role in rural development. Rural women and female producers however face challenges such as access to finance, social expectations and cultural barriers, which makes it difficult for them to complement the efforts of their male counterparts in running sustainable SFSC businesses.
This edition of the Irish Agropreneur Series looks at some of these challenges and ways of addressing them by drawing on case learnings from within Ireland and elsewhere in Europe.
A panel of individuals and organizations will be present at the event to discuss the needs of female farmers and opportunities available to female SFSC producers.
