Brexit and Beyond: Perspectives on the future of agricultural policy and trade policy24 April 2017 24 April 2017
Venue RDS Concert Hall, Ballsbridge
The agri-food sector in the UK and Ireland faces some significant uncertainties in the years to come.
In Ireland changes in agricultural policy will be delivered via CAP reform, while its departure from the EU will afford the UK the possibility to redesign its own agricultural support mechanism.
Of course, depending on the outcome of the negotiations, Brexit stands to affect the substantial agri-food trade between both countries, with implications for farmers, the food industry and consumers.
With its high profile panel, this conference will examine both issues, providing perspectives from the heart of Brussels as well as viewpoints from England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland.
