Teagasc at the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition 201910 January 2019 12 January 2019
Venue RDS, Dublin
The BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition was developed 55 years ago to give students a platform for discovery and learning outside the four walls of the classroom. Now over five decades later, the ethos of the exhibition still stands strong but the way that the participating students bring relevant subjects to life is astounding.
Today more than ever, science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) subjects are integral to education and career development, no matter what industry these students will ultimately take an interest in and join. The exhibition highlights all that is good about our young people and their potential. It is a platform that has helped launch careers, generate new businesses and create a forum for like-minded students to come together and build friendships.
Visit us at Teagasc Stand (W7) in the ‘World of Science and Technology’ at BTYSTE 2019. There will be lots of hands-on experiments and you will get a chance to meet our researchers in person. Find out about career opportunities in the agriculture and food industries from our education staff. Teagasc also sponsors a special award, which will be awarded to the student project in the main exhibition area that best demonstrates a thorough understanding of the science of agricultural or food production, or the use of science to improve technologies available to agricultural or food production.
