CalfCare Event - Sligo

Teagasc and Animal Health Ireland (AHI) are running a series of CalfCare on farm events throughout January, supported by Volac. This series of CalfCare events is being run with the help and support of the co-ops and meat processors in each region. 

Join us for a CalfCare Event on Thursday, 16 January at 11am on the farm of Cathal Marren, Montiagh, Curry, Co. Sligo, F91 RX3R. The focus of the event is 'Getting off to a Good Start'.

Topics to be discussed include:

• Preventing pneumonia in calves
• Understanding dairy and beef indices to produce quality calves
• Ways to utilise pain relief during the calving season
• Achieving optimal rumen development
