Forest Recreation Walk - Sligo

19 May 2022 19 May 2022 Teagasc and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) will run a nationwide series of walks between 9 and 20 May focusing on forest recreation.

Forests are established for many different purposes such as forest recreation. Forests provide great outdoor spaces for local recreation.

This walk will take place on Thursday 19 May 2022 near Tubbercurry, Co Sligo. We will visit a mixed woodland of Sitka spruce, Norway spruce, Larch, Oak, Alder, Ash and Birch. It is managed for timber production, biodiversity and recreation.

Please note: this walk starts at 7pm (arrive before 7pm to facilitate parking). Please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
