Grassland Farmer of the Year - Young Farmer Category Winner - Philip Tyndall

Philip Tyndall is the 2021 Young Grassland Farmer of the Year Winner. Philip farms alongside his father John near Bunclody in Co. Wexford milking 150 cows. Heifers are contract reared and return in September to graze the silage outblock.

Philip and John are hosting a farm walk on their farm in Ballindaggin, Co. Wexford, Y21 KW08 on Wednesday, 28^th September at 11am as part of winning the competition. This will be a brilliant day out for any farmer who wants to see the possibilities of good grassland management.

Join the Teagasc Grass10 team and local Teagasc Advisors as they present details on the farm performance, PastureBase performance, current grazing management, reseeding and clover, soil fertility and investing in grazing infrastructure.

Use their expertise to gain clarity on how you can apply this information to your own farm and reap the reward! Philip and John will also highlight where they see their farm going in the future and what they want to focus on and improve.
