The horticulture sector is diverse and their energy demands vary between subsectors making it important that the right financial support tools are in place. There are a number of important support measures in place for businesses looking to make their energy use more sustainable.
Declan McEvoy from IFAC will discuss the financial impacts of a range of measures including accelerated allowances for capital cost write down. Declan is a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) and leads IFAC's tax team specialising in advising Agri Business clients. With over 30 years experience, Declan has lead the development of IFAC's taxation team which is widely recognised for its specialist knowledge of tax issues in the Agri Business sector.
Ray Langton from SEAI will discuss the Support Scheme for Renewable Heat (SSRH) and how it can benefit horticulture businesses. Ray is the SSRH programme manager with SEAI. He will give an overview of the scheme, how to apply and the application process.
