Land is the basis for human life on the planet. Society relies on farmers and land managers to provide food, feed, fuel and fibre to sustain human life but increasingly, there is pressure to manage and use land to simultaneously deliver public goods. Land use is a complex interdisciplinary science that encompasses the biophysical environment, ecological, economic, and social systems that mediate management and decision making processes.
