Teagasc hosts International Grassland training course for Agri-Professionals
Agri-professionals from across the world have arrived at Teagasc Ballyhaise Agricultural College, Co Cavan for a five day international training course on grassland production. The course commenced yesterday, 8 April and is being delivered as part of the Teagasc ConnectEd programme. It will equip participants, who have travelled from Finland, Lithuania, Wales, England and Northern Ireland, with the knowledge and skills required to grow grass sustainably.

Agri-professionals from across the world have arrived at Teagasc Ballyhaise Agricultural College, Co Cavan for a five day international training course on grassland production. The course commenced yesterday, 8 April and is being delivered as part of the Teagasc ConnectEd programme. It will equip participants, who have travelled from Finland, Lithuania, Wales, England and Northern Ireland, with the knowledge and skills required to grow grass sustainably.

This week we have brought together Teagasc specialists, advisors, teachers and research scientists to provide participants with exclusive insights into Ireland’s grassland success story. This course is part of our wider strategy to expand education programmes for industry professionals nationally and internationally.”
The Professional Certificate in Grassland Production has been developed to meet the needs of working professionals and recent graduates operating in the field of grassland management. Participants will be immersed in the science, economics and skills required to sustainably produce and manage grassland. The course combines classroom lectures, practical demonstration and skills development. The programme also includes elements to support professionals communicate messages around grassland management.
