Leading renewable energy show returns with dedicated farm diversification advice
Energy Now Expo Ireland is boosting its offering by including a Rural Business Expo, to showcase expert farm diversification advice. The pioneering event for farmers and landowners has announced that it’s rebranding as ‘Energy and Rural Business Show Ireland’.
Run in association with Teagasc and the Irish Farmers Association (IFA), and taking place at the The Hub at Cillin Hill, Kilkenny on 23 and 24 October 2019, Energy and Rural Business Show Ireland is the one stop shop for the latest opportunities in renewable energy and carbon management as well as practical farm diversification advice.
Barry Caslin, energy and rural development specialist at Teagasc, is speaking at the show and is clear that there is a strong need for up to date renewable energy and farm diversification advice. "Ireland has committed to producing at least 16% of its energy from renewable sources by 2020 and farmers are looking for land use alternatives and to benefit from green initiatives. Irish farmers can take the lead in renewables and energy innovation as we transition to a low carbon economy and benefit from the latest opportunities at this leading industry event."
Commenting on the IFA’s involvement, Fintan Conway, secretary renewables project group at the IFA says: “We're delighted to be associated with the new Energy and Rural Business Show, following on from the unprecedented success of Energy Now Expo. The event continues to be the leading source of cutting-edge renewable energy advice for Irish farmers and landowners and the new Rural Business Expo is a welcome addition."
“The show will provide farmers and landowners with specialist advice about how to go about setting up highly profitable renewable energy projects and farm diversification initiatives,” says David Jacobmeyer, event director.
Energy and Rural Business Show Ireland will feature:
- Dedicated conference sessions on opportunities in anaerobic digestion and biogas, biomass, heat pumps, hydropower, solar, storage and wind
