Tom Kelly appointed International Fellow of KSLA

The Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry (KSLA) has appointed Professor Tom Kelly, Director of Knowledge Transfer in Teagasc, as an International Fellow of the Academy’s General section. The award ceremony took place in Stockholm on Monday, 28 January, and is in recognition of Professor Kelly’s work towards the development of European agriculture and to developing rural areas.
The Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry aim is, with the support of science and practical experience and in the interest of society, to promote agriculture and forestry and associated activities.
The Academy is a free and independent network organisation working with issues relating to agriculture, horticulture, food, forestry and forest products, fishing, hunting and aquaculture, the environment and natural resources, and with agricultural and forest history.
This has been the task of the Academy since its foundation in 1811.
