NEWBIE New Entrant Competition - Meet the Finalists - Patrick Greenan
Patrick like all new entrants faced barriers when setting up the farm mainly; access to markets and access to finance. Through diligent business planning and a deep understanding of the business plan Patrick was able to overcome these barriers.
Patrick is delighted with the success of the business to date it has allowed him to work full time on the farm while enjoying a good work-life balance.
Off-farm Patrick is involved in Macra na Feirme both locally and nationally, where he holds a position on the Agricultural Affairs Committee which works to influence policy on issues of interest to young farmers.
