Teagasc to host ESEE21 Conference
The European Seminar on Extension and Education conference is a major biennial event which presents new research on agricultural extension and education. On June 21-23, ESEE21 will be hosted by Teagasc Ballyhaise College in collaboration with University College Dublin and CAFRE in Northern Ireland. Due to Covid-19 restrictions the conference will be delivered on-line.
The title of the 2021 conference is:
Learning for Life. Continuous innovation support through extension and education for sustainable farm communities.
- Digital delivery of advice and education: What have we learned from the disrupted norm?
- The evolving roles of advisors and educators in supporting learning.
- Lifelong learning. Encouraging and facilitating continuous learning and development by rural individuals, households, and communities.
- Evaluation and impact assessment of Ag. Education and Innovation support models.
“Teagasc are delighted to be co-hosting this major international conference in the area of agricultural Knowledge Transfer. It promises to be a great showcase of ongoing work and future opportunities in the delivery methods and outcomes of both advisory and education activities in Ireland and Internationally. I would encourage colleagues across the island to submit papers or posters and participate in this conference,” said Stan Lalor, Teagasc Director of Knowledge Transfer.
“The plan was to host the conference in Teagasc Ballyhaise College,” said John Kelly, College Principal. Our challenge now is to deliver the conference as well as a flavour of Ireland and Cavan to on-line delegates.”
