College of Amenity Horticulture, National Botanic Gardens - Virtual Open Day

On Wednesday, 3 June the College of Amenity Horticulture, National Botanic Gardens held the first Teagas College- Virtual Open Day.
This virtual event allowed potential students to hear from college staff and gain an insight into the courses on offer in the college. Principal John Mulhern and lecturer’s Chris Heavey, Deirdre Walsh and Paddy Smith were on hand showing videos, discussing courses and were able to answer any questions which potential student shad on the courses and the application process. The panel also discussed the advantages of studying horticulture in the Botanic Gardens including the:
- first class amenities on site
- hands on learning involved in studying
- work placement componen
- educational trips, both national and international
- opportunity to work abroad.
