On the latest Let's Talk Dairy webinar host Stuart Childs, Teagasc Dairy Specialist was joined by John Trant, 2019 Young Grassland Farmer of the Year in order to get an insight into his career path to date.
John is the farm manager of a dairy herd based in Clongowes Wood College in Clane, Co. Kildare. He has entered into dairying through farm management. He runs a 350 cow spring calving herd and over the past three years grew an average 15 T DM Grass per Ha and achieved 9.3 grazings per paddock per year.
