The Forestry Development Department in Teagasc hosted a very informative virtual webinar - 'Talking Timber' on Tuesday July 14th. The webinar covered all aspects of thinning conifers. Staff from Teagasc and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) gave advice and answered questions

Virtual talking Timber webinar, hosted by the Head of the Teagasc Forestry Development Department, Nuala Ní Fhlatharta dealt with all aspects of thinning conifers. The webinar was supported by video footage from a forest plantation in Roscommon, established in 1996 and a sawmill. Teagasc Forestry Advisors Liam Kelly and Steven Meyen and DAFM Forestry Inspector Seppi Hona gave very uuseful advice and answered viewers questions.
