On a recent Integrated Pest Management Webinar, which took place on Tuesday, 30th March, Donall Flanagan and Eamonn Kehoe, Teagasc Horticulture Development Department were joined by Dr Clare Sampson, Technical Director with Russel IPM to focus on traps and pheromones for thrips and pest control.
Sticky traps are a well-tested monitoring product. The use of roller traps and pheromones are growing in popularity due to their effective role in pest control and managing insecticide resistance.
Dr Clare Sampson, discussed the uses of monitoring traps for the control of thrips and other pests in strawberry and protected ornamental crops.
