Donal Gernon and Dónall Flanagan, Teagasc Horticulture Development Department hosted a webinar on Thursday, 23 September which focused on Sustainable Energy and Investments in the Horticulture Sector. They were joined by Declan McEvoy, IFAC and Ray Langton, SEAI.
The horticulture sector is diverse and their energy demands vary between subsectors making it important that the right financial support tools are in place. There are a number of important support measures in place for businesses looking to make their energy use more sustainable.
Declan McEvoy, IFAC joined the webinar to discuss the financial impacts of a range of measures including accelerated allowances for capital cost write down.
Ray Langton, SEAI discussed the Support Scheme for Renewable Heat (SSRH) and how it can benefit horticulture businesses. Ray gave an overview of the scheme, how to apply and the application process.
