The Teagasc Seed Potato Webinar took place on Thursday, 15th April 2021. This webinar outlined the challenges of imports and the best practices to growing more seed potatoes in Ireland.
Seed potato supplies will be affected following UK departure from the EU. Supplies will be difficult to get from 2022 onwards and this provides an excellent opportunity for Irish growers to grow more Irish seed. The webinar was jointly opened by the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Charlie McConalogue TD, and Minister of State for Agriculture, Pippa Hackett, TD.
