A Broiler Conference took place on Tuesday, 26th September in the Hillgrove Hotel & Spa, Co. Monaghan and on Thursday, 28th September in the Longcourt House Hotel, Co. Limerick.
This year's conference highlighted the importance of biosecurity for aiding in the prevention of Avian Influenza and other diseases such as Campylobacter. Dr Pat Wall, UCD discussed the benefits of poultry meat for human health and how your business is crucial for food safety. There were also presentations on Carbon Footprinting and the importance of reducing this figure to further improve the efficiency of poultry meat.
