Poultry Biosecurity & Budget Update Webinar

As we approach Avian Influenza season it is crucial that all poultry producers ensure their biosecurity is up to standard. Rebecca Tierney, Teagasc Poultry Advisor hosted a webinar, which took place on Wednesday, 25 October and focused on poultry biosecurity and budget update.

• Carla Gomes, Animal Health Ireland spoke about the FREE biosecurity assessments offered by Animal Health Ireland (AHI).
• Tara Battersby, Agrihealth provided information on practical biosecurity measures to aid in reducing the risk of a disease entering your unit.
• Rebecca Tierney spoke to a farmer whose farm was affected by Avian Influenza (AI).
• Kevin Connolly, Teagasc provided an update from the recent budget on the changes for poultry producers.
