  • Talking Timber 2024
Teagasc, in association with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) and Forest Industries Ireland (FII), is organising an event on Thursday, March 14 in the Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel, Limerick Junction, Co. Tipperary, focusing on timber volume and knowing what you have within your forest.
  • Forestry Programme grants
A nationwide series of forestry clinics for people who are considering forestry continues in February. There may still be appointments available here. If you missed these clinics, you are still welcome to contact your local forestry development officer to discuss new forestry planting or management.
  • Forest management workshops
New “marteloscope” forest management workshops are available to forest owners in spring. Forest owners and interested landowners willing to learn more about sustainable forest management can participate in these outdoor workshops.
  • Research Update - Climate resilient forests
Laura Guillardin is a Teagasc Postdoctoral Fellow researching how forests could be made more climate resilient.
