On this episode of Let's Talk Dairy which took place on Thursday, 25 November, Stuart Childs, Teagasc Dairy Specialist was joined by Joe Kelleher, Teagasc Organic Specialist to discuss organic dairying.
On Wednesday, 24 November, Joe Kelleher and Elaine Leavy, Teagasc Organic Specialists hosted the third in a series of Autumn Organic Webinars which gave an insight into converting to organic farming. They were also joined by two farmers who recently converted to organic farming.

How beetles help battle AMR
The Teagasc vision for organic farming is driven by an increasing market for organic food and by EU and national policy. At EU level, The Farm to Fork Strategy is at the heart of the European Green Deal that aims to make food systems sustainable, equitable, and healthy. Organic farming has a key role to play in the delivery of this vision. The target of 25% of all EU land to be farmed organically by 2030 is ambitious and sets out a ‘horizon point’ for Ireland.
