Joe Nolan farms at Kilconnor, Fenagh, Co. Carlow with his wife Clair and their son Ciaran. Joe began his conversion to organic farming in March 2022 reached full organic status in March 2024. The 98.23Ha farm comprises 32.27 ha’s of tillage and 63.91ha’s of grass/red clover/multispecies (MSS) and 2.05 ha’s of Riparian Buffer Zone

On Wednesday, 28th August an organic farm walk took place at Beechlawn Organic Farm, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. Established in 2002 Beechlawn Organic Farm produce and distribute Irish grown and imported organic fruit and vegetables.
On this episode of The Signpost Series, which took place on Friday, 10 May, Mark Gibson, Head of Teagasc Outreach & Innovation Department was joined by Jack Nolan, Senior Inspector, DAFM to discuss Organic Farming in Ireland.
Bill George is farming Coolanowle Organic Farm in Arles, Co. Laois. This farm began its conversion to organic farming in 2001 by Bill's father in-law Jimmy Mulhall and has full organic status since 2003. Bill is leasing the farm on a long-term lease since 2016 and the main enterprise on the farm of 118 ha’s is dairying with a mix of tillage crops which are used for growing feed for the dairy herd.
