Farming during difficult times

Farming can a rewarding occupation but at times it challenging and difficult. Weather conditions such as:

Heavy snow creating animal welfare problems as in 2018 with Storm Emma / Beast from the East
Heavy continuous rainfall leading to animals being housed for exceptionall long periods of time creating fodder shortages
Prolonged hot weather sometimes with high temperatures creating drought condifions and difficult fodder situations.
Rising input costs which can leaad to shortages of fertiliser and feed
