The contribution of the Irish Sport Horse industry to the Irish economy is in excess of €700 million per annum. The sport horse population is estimated in the region of 125,000. Breeding is the largest sector. Ireland has a rich heritage of Irish Sport Horses and many natural attributes in producing horses of the highest quality. The equine specialist team endeavour to promote equine production, working with breeders and producers to improve knowledge and skills that add value at farm level.
