Biosecurity Course for Producers

Biosecurity is a crucial element to protecting our poultry units from diseases, bacteria and viruses. As we have seen in recent years, Avian Influenza has increased in importance as its risk period has been increased.

For poultry producers it is critical to ensure stringent biosecurity it is implemented onsite. Due to its importance, a biosecurity course aimed specifically at poultry units can aid in the design and implantation of a biosecurity plan.

This half day course will cover the 3 levels of biosecurity, biosecurity plan design, disease transmission and chemical handling. This course will meet the Bord Bia SEAS requirements.
