Webinar: The New Forestry Programme – New Opportunities for Forest Creation
Teagasc in conjunction with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) invites you to an information webinar to promote the exciting forest creation opportunities that are available in the new Forestry Programme 2023–2027.

Programme
- Dr Nuala Ni Fhlatharta, Head of the Teagasc Forestry Development Department will chair this event.
- Minister of State Pippa Hackett will deliver a keynote address on the New Forestry Programme 2023–2027 and the opportunities that it will provide for new woodland creation.
- Teagasc Director Professor Frank O Mara will outline the importance of afforestation to Irish agriculture and how Teagasc is supporting the new programme.
- Tom Houlihan, Forestry Specialist with Teagasc and Robert Windle, Forestry Inspector with the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine, will highlight some of the key elements within the programme and outline opportunities for tree planting at farm level.
Upcoming nationwide series of information meetings
The webinar will also provide details of the upcoming nationwide series of in-person information meetings being held during early October 2023. These important events will provide key details and insights for farmers and landowners considering new forest creation.
