Department Objectives

  1. To collect timely, quality information in an efficient manner to inform decision making by stakeholders and to support research
  2. To undertake research:
  • That interprets trends and changes in markets and policy to enable stakeholders make better decisions
  • On the productivity and sustainability performance of Irish agriculture and agricultural technology adoption processes
  • That evaluates the impact of Irish agricultural production on the environment and environmental policy on agriculture
