Visit to Castledockerell catchment by DAFM staff

On Wednesday, June 6th, in glorious sunshine, some forty Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) staff visited the Castledockerell catchment site. Mostly from the Basic Payment Unit based in Portlaoise, Co Laois, they received an introduction to the workings of the project from staff and seen at first hand some of the water monitoring wells and analysers. In addition, they visited one of the participating catchment farms Joe Doyle and heard from him about his role in this water quality project.
