Teagasc Walsh Scholar wins International Dairy Federation Award for Early Career Scientists

Davor Daniloski was announced as the winner of the International Dairy Federation (IDF) Professor Pavel Jelen Early Career Scientist Prize for 2023.
A Teagasc Walsh Scholar in the Food Chemistry and Technology Department at Teagasc Moorepark and a student at Victoria University in Australia, Davor was recognised for his research on the potential impact of β-casein phenotype on the properties of milk and dairy products.
The IDF Early Career Scientist Prize recognises the exceptional work of scientists and technologists in the dairy science and technology field, specifically targeting ‘early-career’ individuals, including graduate and postgraduate students who have graduated within three years of their highest degree.
It is named in honour of Professor Pavel (Paul) Jelen, an esteemed Czech-born, Canadian scientist and educator, who dedicated his career to dairy science and technology research, as well as mentoring and educating young scientists and technologists.
Davor will be presented with his prize at a ceremony during the IDF World Dairy Summit in Chicago this October.
